Funding Conservation
Populations of bear, deer, elk, turkey, wood ducks and other species are thriving now compared to a century ago, thanks to hunters and target shooters who continue to fund conservation. Their license fees, donations, and special excise taxes on bows, arrows, guns and ammo covers 70+% of wildlife agency budgets that also benefit songbirds & more.
OHEC and our partners are excited to spread the word widely about the positive contributions of hunters and others shooting sports enthusiasts at the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel Sports Show! 
During the event, we’ll be giving away free plush animals to youth attendees while supplies last, on Saturday, March 7th, 2026.
